MySoft Improves IS Telecom Billing

Technology invoices are inevitable. Information Services is launching a new billing system that will make them more useful - and eventually, paperless. After collecting customer input on a new design, MySoft invoicing will feature a more user-friendly format, with improved summaries of charges. "Our customers will be able to scan the bottom line quickly, while viewing three levels of detail not available before," says Neil Wineman, IS Telecom Manager. "Wireless usage will be included for the first time - all in an invoice with a reduced number of pages."

Mysoft will replace the current NTEL system. Customers should start receiving the new bills near the end of the first quarter. A paperless, web-based environment is planned for the start of the 2010-2011 Fiscal Year.

Gary Aerts presented an overview of the MySoft system at the January 27th Business Community Group meeting. Additional input is being solicited concerning preferred information sharing and training methods for the new system. For additional information or questions, please contact Neil Wineman at 472-1104, Neil A Wineman/IS/UNL/UNEBR or Amy Metzger, Billing Project Manager, Phase 1 at 472-7664, Amy Metzger/IS/UNL/UNEBR, or Gary Caster, IS Project Management at 472-4106, Gary L Caster/IS/UNL/UNEBR.
