Campus Voicemail Downtime - November 1st
On Sunday morning November 1st, from approximately 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. CST, the campus voicemail system will be off-line for a planned software update. Users will be unable to retrieve or leave new messages during this period. This update will not affect the status of messages already left in subscriber's voicemail mailboxes.

Alltel / Verizon Merger - FAQ
As you may already be aware, Alltel is merging with Verizon Wireless. We want you to know that we have been working with both companies since the early part of the year to ensure that this merger is as seamless to our customers as possible. While we believe this merger will bring some nice advantages to our customers, we also realize that this merger has generated some frequently asked questions that we want to make sure and address prior to the merger. The following is a list of the most frequently asked questions that have been brought to our attention:
When will the merger take place?
The completed merger will take place on October 18, 2009.
If I have an Alltel phone, will I need to purchase a new Verizon phone?
No, the phone you currently have will work after the merger takes place.
Will I need to change my Alltel plan to a Verizon plan?
No, Verizon will honor our existing Alltel customer plans as long as you don't make any equipment changes. If you decide to upgrade or replace your phone, you would then be required to move to a Verizon plan.
How will this merger affect my billing?
Your statement will look the same. The only change will be with the date range of the billing cycle. Usage will now be calculated from the 2nd of the month to the 1st of the following month. The current bill cycle is from the 29th of the month to the 28th of the following month. This bill cycle date change will take place on September 1, 2009.
Will my mobile to mobile feature change?
Yes. This is one of the nice advantages this merger brings us. Your Mobile to Mobile feature will now include calls between Verizon and Alltel phones.
